Sometimes we get so caught up in our own drama, thinking we are the only person in the universe. Stressing about the things we don’t have!
I want a new car. I want a new house. I want a better job. I want. I want!
There are people who wish they had health; a roof over their heads; an old banger to take them from A to B; a job so they can provide for their families!
Life isn’t easy we all know this, but there are people going through far worse than we are. There are people wondering how they will pay their rent this month; send their children to school; keep food on the table! And here we are getting caught up with the small details!
When was the last time we gave thanks for the thing we have? The things we take for granted?
Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with striving for better, setting goals and smashing them! But sometimes we can be very complacent. I know; I’m guilty of this too! I moan about what’s not right in my life, when in fact I should be grateful and thankful for the things I have.
Don’t ever stop striving for better, set goals and smash them. Make a pact with yourself; be grateful for the things you have; be grateful you woke up this morning; be grateful you have a roof over your head; for family and good friends and grateful for love!
So, sometimes instead of worrying about the things we don’t have, how about we give thanks for the things we do!
Just take a moment to give thanks.
