Father’s Day Antics…
It’s a bit of a late one, but as they say better late than never – Happy Father’s Day to all the loving, caring and dedicated Dads out there especially my dearest dad who is on the other side of the world, but is always in my thoughts.
So, as John is away travelling in Europe, Father’s Day duties fall to me this year. I thought that I would do something fun for the other half, which is also quite healthy – a nice walk 🙂 nothing quite like a nice walk, right?
So we headed to Isabella Plantation, if you’ve never been there, it is a secluded woodland garden within Richmond Park and best of all it’s free of charge!
We first discovered Isabella Plantation about four years ago, purely by accident on one of our many unplanned visits to this park. We had a really lovely day strolling around, admiring the landscape, chilling by one of the ponds, having a good ole chat and mucking around.
It took us a while to actually find this place again as we didn’t make a note of the name, and as you know Richmond Park is BIG. LOL (Duh!)…we should have checked :0
It was actually about two years later, when we were telling Jason’s mom about this amazing place we had stumbled across. She knew the name right off the bat from our very sketchy, fairy tale description, and told us how to get there again, and what it was called LOL. We were delighted! 🙂
Alas! it has been one of our go-to places to chill ever since.
Anyway, today I thought what better place to spend Father’s Day and here are a few snaps from today’s antics
See you soon!
